Lora Hemphill

Lora D. Hemphill joined the firm in 2013. Lora came to the practice of law from a background in the environmental and medical fields. Her practice currently involves an emphasis in insurance coverage and a variety of civil litigation matters including representation of government entities.

Lora has lived in Santa Barbara since 1989 and attended UCSB and the Santa Barbara College of Law where she received her Juris Doctor in 2001. She has been very involved in the Santa Barbara legal community and has served on the board of directors of Santa Barbara County Bar Association, Santa Barbara County Bar Foundation, Santa Barbara Women Lawyers, Santa Barbara Women Lawyers Foundation, and Courthouse Legacy Foundation. In 2006, Lora was recognized by the Pacific Coast Business Times as one of their “40 Under 40.”

Lora has developed a reputation for tireless advocacy and enjoys counseling her clients to avoid disputes and bringing her clients’ disputes to resolution, whether by settlement or judgment.
